Now..let's talk about the mini girls gathering with jaime and yiqing on 6 june 09.:) We went to have lunch at vivo and shop around until our legs became too tired before we proceed to Gloria Jeans to chill. After yiqing left for her primary school gathering, me and jaime continue to shop around for jaime's fren birthday present. In the end, we not just get her fren's present but also a hairband each from Chomel.:) They were having sales:))

to make TRADITIONAL CUPCAKE!!!!

Here goes the confusion.. We happily bought the traditional cupcake mix thinking that okie la at least still have something to bake. Anywae the second aim is to see whether the new oven good anot ma.. Then, when we reach home and read the instructions.. BOOM! " ...steam the mix for 12 mins..." WAT?!?!? So we do not bake them but steam them?! Then no need use oven le lor! =.=

Haiz..buy already have to use it right. SO we went on to pour the flour into the mixer and add eggs and water.. Happily thinking that this is going to be easy. But we were wrong once again. Cos we needed this paper cups thing which the house dun hav and jon had to go that kuku ntuc to buy. And guess what? I dun call the ntuc kuku for no reason, they only have those miniature size paper cups used for making small tarts. lol. So in the end i accompanied him to go their house nearby to buy. Guys dun really hav much sense when they buy this kind of things. Hmm.. So finally, we got it and went back home. He found a wallet on the way and we returned it to the security guard.( at least we did a good deed. haha)

After waiting for 12 mins, the three of us opened the lid and was disappointed to see that the cake has flattened and looked far from the picture on the box. It was good that jon's mum came back at this time and told us that we need to put the paper cups in a glass to maintain the shape when the mixture 'fa'. Talk about enlightening the noobs. lol. So with her help, we finally managed to make some traditional cupcakes that looks like traditional cupcakes. Haha:D

I had learnt some baking tips and overall its quite fun!:)
