Another week had passed and its time to update again. lol. Erm..firday was quite interesting due to the fun GP lesson we had during the last 3 periods of class ytd. Haha.. But i shall start from the first lesson which is math. Eh i forgot to bring my math book and so i didn go for lect. opps. i totally overlook the first 2 periods when i pack my bag the night before and i dunno why. Haha..thats why my bag was relatively light cos i didn bring my G.C too. hehe. Bio is as usual..went through the Genetic Variation tut. Oh i rmbed my grp's answ was wrong cos i wrote 0.0165 as 0.165. Sry edward. Ehh..then iz the only 1 hour break we had for the entire week. Was pia-ing chem. After that was chem test at LT5. HAiz.didn manage to finish the last qn cos i do too slowly for the first few qns.. Die la. :/ Okie..then is GP!

we got to watch a video or rather a documentary on DNA and abt genetic make up. Sounds bio rite? hahaz..the doc talks about the development of sci which allows people to do gene tests to check for genes that are potentially dangerous. Lyk to check if u got the mutated gene that cause breast cancer. So that u can take preventive measures. Hmm.. Then learnt this new thing called Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis(PGD). Its for parents to screen embryos for genetic disorders . The story was about a family with one child with some disorder and the parents went through PGD and sort of selectively concieved their 2nd child who is able to save the sister using his compatible bone marrow. In this case i dun think there is any ethical issues concerned cos iz for the sake of both children. I mean who wants to grow up with any disabilities or come to this earth with onli a few weeks to live? Okie..anywae the most interesting is the part on Designer Babies. Oh man..iz like u can chose the gender of ur babies even before u are pregnant and can chose the colour and type of his/her eyes, eyebrow, sharp nose, kissable lips, long neck and watever. This is so WATTHEHELL. Of course theres no such 'technology' now..yet. But can u imagine if it really can be done one day? Then everything will be so made-up. No suprises and your baby's look will be kinda expected. Ewwww. Yeah..anywae..quite interesting la this topic. Better than just goin through papers. Hahaz.

Btw, I WANNA GO SHOPPING!!! Hahhaha..gals wan to go shoppin next weekend? cos i dun wan to shop with jon. Hehe. xD
